Tutorial: Doll on a Budget
I think we've all noticed a big wave of new people entering the dolly community. One of the biggest things they ask about is how to get into it on a smaller budget. Don't get me wrong, I'd really love the new dolly people to support the resin artists we know and love, but you can only work with what you got, right? So here's some helpful tips I've compiled for starting your dolly family.
Just love a head but would be okay with a slightly different body? Great! Bodies get expensive new, but you can find them used in doll forums and on Ebay. I bought Amiga's head new and her body used on Ebay. The vinyls don't match perfectly, but I blushed her up and you can hardly tell!

Tutorial: Drafting Patterns
At long last, the tutorial I've wanted to do for a long time, pattern drafting! Making your own patterns has lots of benefits. It saves money, it guarantees a better fit for your doll, and you can make an item you like again in other fabrics without having to take the measurements all over again. And introducing Tandrelim, my sister's housemate. Tall, isn't he? Well, onto the highly anticipated tutorial!

Tutorial: Sock Sweater
I just made a new sweater for Feebee out of a pair of ankle socks. Low price and looks great! This tutorial is good for 1/3 scale dolls, so grab 2 socks (4 for long sleeves) and your sewing kit. :)

Tutorial: Faceups or painting your doll's face!
Painting your dolls faces yourself has a lot of benefits. In addition to saving you money (about 10$ per head), you get to really personalize the doll. There's also a sense of pride every time you look at them. :) I hope everyone tries it out. I know it's daunting at first, but once you take the leap and paint your first face, it's nothing but fun!
