Unboxing: KawaiiQtee from FailFix

 

I got another one.  Two more, in fact, but I only opened one today.  Unboxing FailFix dolls is a long ass event.  This is KawaiiQtee, arguably the most popular doll of this very unpopular line.  Her dress had art stolen off the internet, so there was some drama.  But I don't care, I own her again, and will never give her up again.

This is her in the box, with her box art.  The strange lightning is my ring light.  She has hair pom poms, which are too hard to open with cold, shaky hands.  But yeah, this is her box.

This is her straight out of the box.  Her shoes and accessories are in her hair, which is gelled to death in an elaborate Dr. Seuss updo.  The next hour or two was spent brushing it out.

But before the brushing, she gets the bubble mask, and the paper dowel dress.  I took even more pics today than yesterday.

This poodle look is how the hair looks after an hour and a half of brushing.  It was relaxing.  I just sat there, brushing doll hair, and watching Youtube.

This is her after a warm tap shampoo, with a bunch of conditioner.  A good scrubbing makes a world of difference.

Here's her air drying after getting the conditioner rinsed out.  This part takes the longest, I need to forget about her and do something else while she dries.

And finally, hours later, I can put her clothes back on and take an after picture.  She has many little barrettes that I could put in her hair, but I'm tired, and my hands are shaky, and I can't be assed to at this point.  Still, she's adorable, I love her.  I may try to give her space buns tomorrow, proper space buns, not the fake ones.
