Picking my Next Doll

My husband gets bothered by big ball-jointed dolls with changeable eyes.  They creep him out and make him uncomfortable, especially if he thinks they're looking at him.  When Comrade came, he got fed up with it.  When I told him I was selling Comrade, he was really relieved.  And then he told me about how the dolls were starting to really stress him out.  He didn't want me to give up the hobby, because it made me happy, but two 1/3 scale dolls was just too much.

New Stuff for my Hujoos

My Hujoos, Feebee and Zeebee, got a new laptop and chair!  It's a nice chair too, metal base and everything.  You can bet I'll be bringing this when I want to splay one of my Hujoos.

I'm so excited! I finally ordered my bitty 'bitsu today. I'm gonna name her Mira and she will be Amiga's pet cat. I already have the ears from a past purchase. I really went all out this time, bought her a bunch of clothes off Etsy and shoes from Mimiwoo. She's gonna go on so many little adventures! Hubby might get a little mad at me when he sees the totals in the bank, but I actually saved a lot of money. This Etsy shop gives you discounts for buying multiple things, and I saved shipping costs. I won't have to buy anything for her for quite a while. And it will save me the frustration of making things so tiny. I'm so excited! This is the first time I've bought clothes for a doll.

Eyelashes

I got brave, and finally put eyelashes on Amiga.  I've been so worries about them looking monstrous, too long, too dark, doing it wrong, all sorts of excuses.  But today, I did it!  I sized and trimmed them, then put tacky glue on her eyelids and carefully placed them on.  I really should have made a tutorial, but I had no idea I'd be doing it right.  Now she's among the eyelashed dolls.

She got new eyes today!  Not really worthy of a whole gallery, but good for a one-shot.  And I love her expression in this one. :D  I'm switching my pic to this one.  She's just got the best smile!  I love this doll.

Jobee: How do you like living with your roommates?

Amiga: They're all very nice. I feel a little awkward, being the tallest of Jobee's dolls, but her sister has a roommate taller than me, so we hang out when we can. Zeebee is quite an interesting character, coming from outer space and all. Lola is very mature and intelligent. Feebee likes to relax in comfy sweaters, and Gabby is always getting into trouble somehow.

Makie Dreams

When I saw Makies, I went crazy over them. I wanted one really bad. No, I wanted two, one to be me and one to be my Hubby. Why did I want them so bad? Not because of their faces. Not because of their bodies. Because of their glasses and shoes. Tons of different styles guaranteed to fit. I wanted them so bad because of glasses and shoes. Seems silly now, doesn't it? Yeah. I wanted glasses and shoes to fit something for a change. Totally not worth getting a whole doll for.

I'm gonna see if their glasses will fit dolls I have, because I love glasses, but other than that, I've decided to let go of the Makie dream and focus on the precious dolls I have. <3
