I don't hate my silly rectangle headed dolls! They're cute! Man, the back and forth keeps going. You see, what happened is, I have a metric ton of little plastic mini dolls right now, and they all have rectangle heads! And I love them! Why do I have so many? I asked for many for Christmas, and then I bought more, and then I bought even more. That's it. That's the story.
I haven't purchased a single full sized fashion doll, but I've been buying the minis in bulk. And I don't even have all the ones I want yet, because I want every single one. Something about these plastic mini dolls puts me in FULL COMPLETIONIST MODE. I don't fucking know why. They don't meet any of my fashion doll requirements at all, but they're cheap and pretty and that's it! They're too small to sew for, not articulated enough to pose, have plastic wigs and plastic clothes, but they're pretty and I'm silly.
Anyways, I've talked it over with my husband, and he's gonna suck it up and deal that I'm gonna get more rectangle headed dolls. The Royale High and Dress to Impress dolls come out so slowly, that it won't break my budget to get them now and then. So yeah, second month of the year and new dolls are back on the table, because I get anxious when they're not.
About the mini dolls? I'm asking for the Royale High mermaids for my birthday. Whoever I don't get on my birthday, I'll buy the day after, like I did with Christmas, I suppose. And as for the Dress to Impress minis? I basically have series 1 complete aside from the rares. If I see another equally cheap bundle for series 2 on Ebay, already opened, then I will get it, but otherwise, no series 2 at all. These are very cheap, mass produced toys, with plastic parts and little articulation. There is no reason to go broke on these. 3$ each was a fair price, and I won't even consider higher than 5$, unless they do another holiday special release like the Halloween ones I bought.
