Stitches: Hello Kitty's Test Outfit

Not bad for a first try, huh?  Shirt's a little lumpy, but the leggings are spot on.  She's a very unique shape, I think I managed pretty decent all things considered.

Unboxing: Hello Kitty and Kuromi

Ladies, gentlemen, and nonbinaries, I present Hello Kitty and Kuromi fashion dolls.  Created by Jazwares for Sanrio in 2025, these two, along with My Melody (who isn't out yet) are series 1 of the Hello Kitty and Friends fashion doll line.  I'm over the moon and dying for fashion packs already.

Let's start with Hello Kitty.  She's a white cat-person with gray eyes, a red bow, and a very cute outfit reminiscent of her signature style.  They stuck with primary colors for her, red, yellow, and blue.

Here's the back of the box, showing a large photo of the doll, and smaller photos of Kuromi and My Melody.

Here's Hello Kitty still on the insert.  She's got a fabric shirt, jumper and socks, and plastic belt, bracelet, shoes, and bag.

Here's her out of the box entirely, in just the fabric pieces.

And here's her naked!  She has molded on underwear, and her lower arms pop off and on for ease of dressing.

And here's her backside!  She has a tail.  Does Hello Kitty canonically have a tail?  I'm not sure.  It's a stubby thing and just makes her skirt poof out a bit more in the back.  Might be hard to make pants for her that accommodate for this.

Here's Kuromi in the box!  She comes with more plastic pieces, but fewer fabric pieces.

Here's the back of Kuromi's Box, so she's the biggest picture this time.

Here's Kuromi complete on her back card.  She's a white bunny/imp thing person who wears black, purple, and pink, with a little blue on her shirt.  Very cute.

Here's Kuromi in just her fabric dress.  It looks like a t-shirt and skirt, but they're unfortunately sewn together, so it's all one piece.

Here's Kuromi naked.  She looks almost identical to Hello Kitty naked, with all the same articulation and removable arms.

And this is what Kuromi's behind looks like.  She also has a molded on tail, but it's a lot flatter and less likely to cause issues with dressing.

And here's the two of them, side by side, redressed, out of the box.  Cute, really cute.  Will I sew fashions for them?  I'm not sure, maybe.  Their bodies are very unique and might be harder to dress than fashion dolls I'm used to.  I like them though, and will keep an eye out for My Melody and whoever they release in series 2.
