Dolly House Con 25 was hella rushed, like 2 weeks notice this year, but still worth it. It incentivized me to buy some Barbies, at long last. I went like 1 month without buying dolls and I couldn't stand it, so I bought 2 Barbies, and I have enough Barbie sized fashion packs and accessories wishlisted to last me a year if a buy a couple each month.
This is the fashion pack I bought for Shelby and Misty. It came in a very nice box and had mostly swimsuits and mermaid tails. Here's Misty and Shelby in the mermaid outfits. They look pretty but don't fit great, so I may try a different mermaid set later. Still cute though.
Here's some mermaid cut dresses that came with the set. Dunno when I'm gonna need these, but they're pretty! Here are some swimsuits that came with the set. The halters are sewn shut, so they don't work, but it's still a passable bikini. I really like the outer space fabric.
And here are the fruits of several days of my labor! I had to draft patterns from scratch, draw a fashion template, design 2 outfits, and sew them. The lavender dress needed altering, so I need to fix the top pattern, but all in all, they look like how I designed!\Con Feedback: I loved having a small haul to unbox this year. I wanna do it again next year, but my god, my sister went way over budget and I worry it could put her in a tight spot. I do miss having convention t-shirts like last year, so I might bring that back. Next time I'm gonna have my patterns and fashion templates ready in advance, because working on them took up a lot of my convention time. Watching doll videos on Youtube with my sister went well when I streamed it through Discord, so will do that again next year. Every year, I consider inviting other doll friends, and in the end, I'm glad I don't. It's a special thing between me and my sister.
