2025 Dolly Goals Update 2

It's my birthday!  Woo!  Sorry, unrelated.  Two months have passed, so it's time to assess my progress on my doll goals.  I'm gonna start by saying my current federal government is turned on it's head, so everyone's under a tremendous amount of stress.  So I'm trying to go easy on myself, because my god, the world is scarier than it was in the pandemic right now.

1. Documentation.  I've added all new dolls to my doll database, but no more of the older ones yet.  I have a little more progress on Memoa, which has become a more viable long term option, but I still want to have all my dolls posted on both eventually.  I really need to dig out my other dolls and take their portraits so they can be added to both databases.

2. Doll Sewing.  In April, I finally drafted patterns for the Rainbow High boy dolls, which is huge, but I didn't make anything after.  I've been very focused on writing this year, which is fun, but my other hobbies need a turn too.  I did sew one outfit for my custom Mini Me doll, which should be finished in the next few days.  I spent a good amount of time in April working on a Mini Me, and a Mini Husband.  Doll customizing counts, doesn't it?  But yeah, not a lot of sewing.

3. Controlled Doll Buying.  Well, this one's a bit weird.  But the government's been doing such shaky shit with tariffs and whatnot, that I figured we were gonna face a recession this year, so I finally bit the bullet and bought those Shadow High doll I'd been on the fence over for years.  I already had two, so I bought two more girls and two boys.  They were all second hand from resellers, but their prices weren't too bad.  I also finally bought that Flash Sentry Equestria Girls doll I've had on my wishlist for years.  At last, I finally have all the characters I wanted for my Equestria Girls collection.  And now, for the foreseeable future, I'm on a doll buying hiatus.  No new dolls, at all, until the government straightens itself out and drops all this tariff nonsense.  I just hope the indie doll brands will survive through the recession.  But from here on out, my doll collection is considered complete for the foreseeable future.  I do want to make more custom dolls of my OCs, but now is not a good time to be ordering from overseas, so it's not gonna happen.

Other Notes: I tried making doll jewelry in April.  It's difficult, and it's broken already.  Yeah, that shit ain't easy.  I'm also trying to go hard on the Rainbow High fanfiction, though I do get sidetracked, like really bad, lol.
