Since my husband had a few days off before Christmas, we opened each other's gifts a few days early so he'd have free time to enjoy his. I got him some Warhammer model kits. He got me two Barbie Dream Besties. This id Brooklyn Barbie.
This time around, I was much more careful unpackaging the doll. I realized if you were careful and pulled out all the tabs, the packaging came apart easily. I was pretty relieved to have an easier time of it. Unboxing Renee and Malibu was rough!
I'm keeping this artwork from the box. It's very beautiful. I really love this style.
These are Brooklyn's accessories. Everything was much easier to get out this time, since I pulled out all the tabs first, instead of trying to hack it apart with scissors. The musical and filming equipment is because Brooklyn dreams of being a professional choreographer.
Finally, onto the doll. She's really pretty. I love round faces. Her hair is kinda weird, but it's fine. I can't really change the lopsided pigtails, since that's how she's rooted. I might take them out. I've seen some people give her braids, but I'm not really good at that. I actually braid backwards. Will I cut off the plastic leg warmers and give her fabric ones? Maybe. At least the has a nice jacket.
Most importantly, she has a good face. Not too wonky, very pretty. Nicely done. I dunno why her earrings stick out so much. It's okay though. They're anchored in, I'd have to heat her head to get them out. She's cute, same height as Malibu, same body type. She has a white tank top on under the jacket, but it's cold season, so jacket stays on. I appreciate her and I'm happy to add her to my collection.
