I'm not too proud to admit when I'm wrong, but I think I was way off on my predictions.
Monster High is not dead at all, they're releasing new dolls, and the budget line actually looks like some care is being put into it. Also, I heard they're hiring voice actors for a new g3 web series. Maybe they can keep the line going after all?
Barbie Dream Besties has a bunch of new shit coming out. I'm really surprised, I thought nobody liked them but me. The roller skating line is weird, but kinda cute... And the get ready with me 2-pack? I kinda want it...
Apparently, kids are really enjoying the gimmicky Rainbow High dolls, because MGA just keeps releasing more of them. The fashions are plastic, the articulation is getting worse and worse, but kids must be enjoying it, because there's no sign of MGA changing course.
Maybe the Always Bratz rebrand did better than I thought, because they released another wave of them. There are a lot of Bratz for life fans out there, maybe they're doing fine with their pre-existing fanbase.
So yeah, maybe my doom and gloom predictions were all way off base and I was just hella pessimistic last September.
