Friends Forever Club dolls got a new series of fashion packs. Since they're the second wave of them, I'm calling them series 2. There are 6 outfits in all, but I only bought 4. Here is my in depth review.
As you can see, the packaging is very different from the simple dresses on cards from the first release of fashion packs. These fashion packs include more pieces, like shoes and bags, and more complete outfits, like tops and pants. You're getting a lot more from these packs than the first ones.
Here's Iha modeling the outfit featuring the plaid skirt. I put this one on her because the blue top coordinates with her blue headband. The outfit came with a visor, but it doesn't work very well on their heads. Everything else does though! I noticed a dramatic improvement to the fabric garments. It's almost completely hemmed, and just sturdier fabric.
Carina is modeling this one. The animal Print shirt outfit came with a separate shirt and pants, both mostly hemmed, and on sturdier fabric, and also some new boots and a necklace and a purse she can hold! Some of them came with purses, some came with backpacks, I ended up getting mostly purses.
The Be Happy outfit came with a separate shirt and pants too! Same white sneakers as before, but that's okay. It also came with a hairbrush she can hold, and a backpack. The backpack doesn't work around Viera's hair however, so I didn't put it on.
Alanis is modeling the red shirt outfit with black leggings with odd stripes below the knee. It came with the same white sneakers, another purse, and a necklace. Unfortunately, I did not remember to fix the necklace before snapping this pic.
My final thoughts? 100% worth the $1.25 price tag, and these outfits add a lot of value to the doll line. The shoes and accessories get a little repetitive, but that's kind of to be expected at this price point. These are totally better than the weird dresses they got from series 1. They're complete outfits, with pieces to play with. The toys feel a lot more like dolls now, and they have some items to hold! Good job Dollar Tree!
