2026 Dolly Goals update 3

6 months into the year, I've worked very hard and pushed myself pretty far on all fronts.  Today, I'm going over all my goals and seeing what progress I've made in the past 2 months.

1. Photograph and Document old dolls.  I've taken a break from this goal, since we're halfway through the year and my database is almost complete.

2. Invest time and money into stands and wardrobes.  I haven't run out of doll stands since buying them in January, so every new doll and most old dolls have stands now.  I bought my curvy Barbies some swimsuits and shoes from Etsy.  I've done precious little sewing though, just 4 convention shirts at the last minute.  I'm hoping I can do a little more doll sewing in the coming months.

3. Draft doll patterns.  I'm finally back on this, I made Curvy Barbie patterns during the month of June.  I would like to get farther along with this project, for sure.

4. Buy less dolls and buy them more mindfully.  Well, I dunno.  I canceled 2 Licca-chan preorders when I bought 4 Kpop Demon Hunters dolls.  I'm trying to balance things out, but it's really hard.  I'm gonna give myself credit for canceling some preorders though.  With the Kpop Demon Hunters thing, it's just nice to be a part of something bigger than me, and their fandom seems pretty good.  I did also get the Spellentine gay 2pack from Mattel.  How could I not?  They were regularly priced, and I need to show support when they make canon gays.

Dolly House Con 26 has come and gone.  My indecisiveness and procrastination took some of the fun out of it for me.  4 con shirts is too many.  4 attendees is too many.  I feel like it would have been more cohesive for me if I'd focused on just 2 doll attendees.  My sister seemed to have a better time than me, which is fine.  I'll be better prepared next time.
