I don't normally make hype posts for doll brands, but I'm depressed and dolls give me serotonin. This is a preview pic of the Decora Girlz 11 inch fashion dolls, revealed at a toy fair last September. Decora Girlz is a new brand by Cepia, the company behind Zhu Zhu Pets. They're starting the brand with 2 lines, 4 fashion dolls, 9 minidolls, and a minidoll playset. All dolls come with sheets of stickers to decorate the dolls with.
For a brand new line, they're starting out with a decent amount of diversity. At least 3 distinct skintones, one being rather dark, one medium, and one peach. Some of the characters have curly hair both in the mini dolls and the fashion dolls. They are highly stylized, with enormous heads, big eyes, and small mouths. Their color palettes are incredibly bright and cheerful. Looking at pictures of them makes me happy. The fashion dolls come with a complete outfit, barrettes, bag, and a brush that won't be very useful. Mini dolls come with a rubber outfit, a comb, and stickers. All dolls seem to come with a stand. All dolls hair is nylon.
Mini dolls are expected to retail at 10$ each. Fashion dolls are expected to retail at 25$ each. Dolls are expected to start appearing in stores in March. There is no official media attached to the doll line at this time.
