Tutorial: Sock Sweater

I just made a new sweater for Feebee out of a pair of ankle socks.  Low price and looks great!  This tutorial is good for 1/3 scale dolls, so grab 2 socks (4 for long sleeves) and your sewing kit. :)

Here's 2 ankle socks.

Cut off the toe about here.

Slide the sock over the doll's head.

Cut holes next to the doll's shoulders.

Cut out sleeves.  These will be short.

Turn the sleeves inside out and stitch 'em up.

Turn the sleeves rightside out and the body of the sweater inside out.

Put a sleeve on your finger and stick it through the sock so it sticks out a little bit.

Sew the edges together.  Be patient, because this part is tricky.

Before you turn the sweater rightside out, stop and make a hem on the bottom of the sweater.

Want a hoodie?  You're done!  Don't want a hoodie?  Keep going.

Cut the ankle ring from the hood.

Cut the hood off.

Flip the ring inside out and stick it on the neckline of the sweater.

Sew the unfinished edges together like this.

This is what it looks like after it's sewn.  Now you can turn the collar rightside out.

And you're done! :D

That's it!  Please take a picture of your new sweater and post it for me to see here!
